This is the start of a beautiful trail that follows the edge of the gorge downstream to where Irvine creek flows into the Grand river. Then this trail goes upstream along the Grand river to the falls.

Before starting down the trail, be sure to go out onto the modern bridge and get a good view of the gorge. Below you is Irvine creek.

On the right there is a fence to keep children (and foolish adults) from falling into the gorge. On the left there are beautiful old homes, dating back to the days when a backyard was big enough to hold a soccer match!

This trail starts right beside the Irvine Bridge, on David Street, a few steps west of Geddes street. This is the start of a shady, pleasant trail along the gorge, fenced all the way for safety. Just ahead, sometimes you will see people ziplining.
